About this site

This calendar brings motorsport race dates together in one place: date, schedule, circuit, broadcast and, once available, results and standings. It runs without an editorial team and updates itself.

Coverage

At the moment 67 series are covered, along with 310 circuits and venues. 123 events are still ahead. The data is merged from 92 active sources.

Where the data comes from

Dates and schedules come from the calendars of promoters and series, mostly as ICS feeds. Results and standings come from official interfaces depending on the series, for example openf1 and Jolpica for Formula 1 plus the data services of MotoGP, NASCAR and the World Endurance Championship. Where no interface exists, the season articles on Wikipedia are evaluated.

How often it updates

Once a session has finished, results and standings follow within minutes. Schedules and calendars are checked every half hour, the full set once a day. Each source keeps its own interval so that external servers are not queried more often than necessary.

What happens when data is missing

If a source delivers nothing, the field stays empty. Nothing is estimated and nothing unverified is added: a missing start time does less harm than a wrong one. That is why some events show only a date and no session times yet.
