Scope

This policy applies to the websites motorsport-heute.de (German) and motorsport.today (English). Both are operated by the same provider and share the same technology and database.

Principle

This site is a racing calendar. You can use it fully without signing up and without providing any personal data. We do not create user accounts, we do not use third-party analytics tracking, and we do not sell data.

Server logs

When you open the site, our hosting provider automatically processes access data (IP address, date and time, requested address, amount of data transferred, browser type). This data is technically required to deliver the site and to detect faults. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure operation). The logs are deleted by the hosting provider after a short period and are not combined with other data.

Hosting

The site is operated with a provider inside the European Union. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place.

Cookies

For the operation of the site we only set one cookie:

• ms_country - remembers the country you selected for broadcast information. Purely functional, no analysis, valid for 180 days.

It contains no identifier that could be used to recognise you and can be deleted in your browser at any time. Further cookies may be set by advertising, see the next section.

Advertising and consent

We display advertising via Google AdSense (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). Google places the ads automatically.

For consent we use Google's consent management platform, which follows the European Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF). On your first visit a message appears where you can agree to or refuse the use of cookies for advertising purposes. Without your consent, no advertising cookies are set and no personalised advertising is delivered.

If you consent, Google may set cookies and process your IP address in order to deliver ads and measure their performance. Data may be transferred to third countries. The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. You can withdraw it at any time; the settings can be reopened at any time via the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page, where you can change your decision. Affiliate links

Ticket and streaming links on this site may be affiliate links. They run through our own redirect so that we can count which offers are used. We only store the fact that a link was clicked, with a timestamp - without IP address and without any identifier that could identify you.

After the redirect, the privacy policy of the respective provider applies. That provider may set cookies to attribute a purchase. The legal basis for the redirect is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in funding the service).

Search

Search queries are processed exclusively on our own server to show matches from our own schedule data. They are not stored permanently and not passed on to third parties.

Calendar subscription

If you subscribe to a calendar in ICS format, your calendar application retrieves the file regularly. This produces the same server log data as a normal page view. We do not know who has subscribed to a calendar.

External content

We do not embed external fonts, maps or videos. All design elements are loaded from our own server. Links to external sites open in a new window; the provisions of the respective provider apply there.

Your rights

You have the right to information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. Please contact the e-mail address above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority; the competent authority is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.
