Las Vegas Motor Speedway is a 2.4 kilometer long oval racetrack located in Las Vegas, Nevada. The track was opened in 1996 and features a tri-oval configuration with an asphalt surface. Las Vegas has 4 turns with 20 degree banking in the curves and 9 to 12 degree banking on the straights. The oval is part of a larger motorsports complex that also includes road courses and additional racing facilities. Since 1998, Las Vegas has regularly hosted NASCAR Cup Series races and since 1997 NASCAR Xfinity Series races.
