Salzburgring
The Salzburgring hosts the ADAC GT Masters as a high-speed course with pitfalls. The race weekend is contested in the popular endurance format with two 80-minute races featuring two pit stops, a driver change, tyre change and refueling. The track is one of Austria's fastest and most traditional racing circuits and combines long full-throttle passages with fast curves and tight chicanes. As the fifth round of the season, the event presents a turning point: after four sprint races, the endurance format brings entirely new demands for drivers and teams. The Salzburgring was built in 1968 and opened in September 1969 with a combined car and motorcycle race. The motorcycle World Championship regularly visited Salzburg from 1971 to 1994, establishing the venue's international reputation.
