Thruxton
Thruxton Circuit hosts Rounds 13, 14, and 15 over this weekend. The track is often referred to as the fastest circuit in the UK where drivers can reach speeds of over 190 mph, situated in a 2.356-mile motor-racing circuit located near the village of Thruxton in Hampshire. The circuit is renowned for being bumpy and abrasive, and with sweeping, flat-out corners and bends, Thruxton challenges drivers to the max, creating nail-biting battles where races are often won by mere fractions of a second. The Thruxton race weekend has been moved to the school summer holidays in July and is the only BTCC event that month. Originally constructed in 1940 as an RAF airfield, it was first used for motorbike races in 1950.
