DuQuoin Mile
Known as the "Magic Mile," DuQuoin has hosted some of the most legendary and thrilling races in Grand National Championship history. The racetrack is a one-mile dirt oval with four turns and has been in operation since 1946. Progressive American Flat Track's ties to the DuQuoin Mile date back to the earliest days of the series, being added to the schedule in 1955. Since that inaugural race, the venue hosted races in 1958, then ran continuously from 1977 through 1989, again from 1994 to 1998, and saw additional events between 2001 and 2005 plus 2015. The race represents the season's first contest of ultimate speed and strategy at a high-speed Mile and takes place alongside the AMA Amateur Grand Championships.
