The Shanghai International Circuit is the same venue that hosts Formula One's Chinese Grand Prix - though the track layout has been altered to remove the long back straight, instead featuring a chicane between turn 9 and the pit straight. Following a five-year absence from mainland China, the series returns to the Shanghai International Circuit for its third consecutive visit after racing on Hainan Island. The race was held for the first time at the Shanghai International Circuit on 25 May 2024.
