Grand Prix of Brazil
The Grand Prix of Brazil is the second race of the 2026 MotoGP season in Goiânia. This event marks the return of the Brazilian Grand Prix to the MotoGP calendar for the first time since 1992 and the first time any race has been held on Brazilian soil since the 2004 Rio de Janeiro Grand Prix. The circuit at Autódromo Internacional de Goiânia - Ayrton Senna features 3.835 kilometres with twelve turns that blend fast straights with technical sections. It is the second-shortest circuit in the World Championship after the Sachsenring. Construction began in 1972 and the circuit was inaugurated on July 28, 1974, with Emerson Fittipaldi as technical advisor and designed with wide run-off areas and good spectator visibility. Goiânia hosted the first three Brazilian Grand Prix races of the MotoGP World Championship from 1987 to 1989. The circuit underwent renovations to meet FIM safety standards for the 2026 season.
