MXGP of Latvia
The MXGP of Latvia is the eighth round of the 2026 FIM Motocross World Championship and takes place at Motocenter Zelta Zirgs in Ķegums. This challenging sand circuit marks the traditional stop in the Baltics and concludes the first three-weekend run of the season. Zelta Zirgs, named after the "Golden Horse" from Latvian mythology, is an established venue with a storied past. World Championship motocross racing has been held at the location since 2005, with the full MXGP series arriving in 2009 with Antonio Cairoli winning the MX1 class. A standout event was the Motocross of Nations in 2014. For 2026, World Champion Pauls Jonass returns to his home Grand Prix for the first time since 2022.
