Rally Islas Canarias
The 2026 Rally Islas Canarias marks the fiftieth running of the Rally Islas Canarias and is the fifth round of the World Rally Championship. Based on the island of Gran Canaria, the event consists of eighteen special stages covering a total competitive distance of 322.04 kilometres. The rally has earned its reputation as the Circuit of the Atlantic due to high grip levels of volcanic asphalt; the routes are a relentless sequence of hairpins and elevation changes. The centrepiece of the opening day is a historic return to the Circuito Islas Canarias, where WRC stars compete in a stadium-style showdown. First run in 1977, the rally quickly became popular for its location, climate and tourist destination appeal, and since 1982 has been a regular fixture of the European Rally Championship.
