The Belgian race weekend at the end of August represents the fifth stop in the series' sixth season. The Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps is a renowned 7.004-kilometer motor racing circuit situated in the Belgian Ardennes. The legendary Eau Rouge-Raidillon complex is the circuit's defining characteristic - a sequence where drivers plunge downhill at full throttle, sharply turn left across the Eau Rouge river bridge, and immediately enter a blind 60-degree right-hander while ascending a 17-percent gradient.
