Dekra Lausitzring
The BMW M2 Cup celebrates its premiere as a new one-make cup at the Lausitzring as part of the DTM programme. It is the first season of the BMW M2 Cup following the insolvency of Project1. Its goal is to give young talents the opportunity to showcase their skills on the big stage. As part of the "Road to DTM," ADAC offers an extensive support package, while BMW M provides the new BMW M2 Racing as the ideal entry-level car. The DEKRA Lausitzring is a permanent racing and test track near Klettwitz in Lower Lusatia, which has been in use for motorsport since 2000. A distinctive feature of the Lausitzring is its oval superspeedway, which is unique in continental Europe. The BMW M2 Cup will be held at five racing weekends as part of the DTM, with the season beginning on June 20 at Lausitzring and concluding on October 11 at Hockenheimring.
