The nine-turn course is the shortest on the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship calendar and presents a demanding blend of high-speed corners and technical configurations. This marks the third time the IMSA SportsCar Championship has raced at the Detroit street circuit. After decades on Belle Isle, the Grand Prix returned to the Downtown Detroit streets in 2023 for the first time since 1991. The Detroit Grand Prix originated as a Formula One race on the streets of the Motor City in 1982.
