Homestead-Miami - Championship
Homestead-Miami Speedway stages the title-deciding finale for the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series as part of a new rotation model. The South Florida track held the season finale from 2002 through 2019. The season consists of 36 races: 26 in the regular season and 10 in The Chase. The Chase is NASCAR's version of the playoffs, in which the top 16 drivers from the regular season compete for the NASCAR Cup championship, amassing points over the season's final 10 races. The speedway was constructed as part of a plan to help Homestead rebound after the devastation caused by Hurricane Andrew, with groundbreaking begun August 24, 1993, exactly one year after the hurricane. With more than a thousand palm trees and a Caribbean color scheme, the facility projects a South Beach flavor.
