Iowa - Iowa Corn 350
The Iowa Corn 350 marked the NASCAR Cup Series' first race in Iowa. Iowa Speedway opened in 2006 and was designed by NASCAR Hall of Famer Rusty Wallace. Located approximately 30 miles east of Des Moines in Newton, Iowa, the 0.875-mile, D-shaped oval was designed with exciting racing in mind. The track is known as "The Fastest Short Track on the Planet". Its progressive banking in the corners makes for multiple racing line options, which rewards aggressive driving without sacrificing side-by-side racing. A partial repave completed before the Cup Series' arrival created two noticeably different sections of asphalt, producing varying levels of grip. The Corn 350 is the 23rd of 26 races on the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series regular season schedule. The 2026 season marks the third straight year it races in Iowa. Ty Gibbs is the defending race winner, having won it in 2026. Ryan Blaney won the inaugural Iowa race in 2024 from the front row, while William Byron won in 2025.
