Daytona - United Rentals 300
The United Rentals 300 is the first race of the 2026 NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series season and the 45th running of the event. The race is contested on the 2.5-mile superspeedway Daytona International Speedway. Since 1979, the race has been the season opener for the Xfinity Series season. Drivers from the Cup Series commonly run this race to gain experience for the next day's Daytona 500. The turns feature 31 degrees of banking, an aggressive design choice that allowed cars to carry enormous speed through the corners. Since 2005, 22 of 40 Daytona races went to overtime, and the last nine Daytona races featured 16 or more lead changes. Dale Earnhardt and Tony Stewart both have won 7 Xfinity Series races at Daytona, a record for the event.
