Rockingham - North Carolina Education Lottery 250
The North Carolina Education Lottery 250 is the eighth race of the 2026 NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series season and the second running of the event. The race is contested over 250 laps on the 0.940-mile oval track. After a hiatus stretching more than a decade, the iconic North Carolina track returned to the NASCAR schedule with the Xfinity and Craftsman Truck Series in April 2025. Rockingham Speedway, called "The Rock," is among stock car racing's most historic race tracks and hosted NASCAR's premier series until 2004. The D-shaped oval measuring slightly over one mile features an especially abrasive track surface caused by the high sand content of paving compounds made from local materials, which causes excessive tire wear and is a notoriously demanding element of racing at The Rock.
