The DRM is an asphalt rally series with events held at various locations across Germany, primarily on roads in the Eifel, Erzgebirge, and other regions. For spectators, the series offers excitement through competition between established drivers and emerging talent, as well as technical diversity across different vehicle classes. A typical race weekend consists of several timed special stages spread over two days. Usually there is a shakedown (test drive) on Friday evening, followed by multiple special stages on Saturday and Sunday. Teams compete with a driver and co-pilot to earn points and standings positions.
