GT World Challenge America is a North American racing series featuring FIA Group GT3 class vehicles. Managed by SRO Motorsports Group since 2018 and sanctioned by the United States Auto Club, the series functions as the premier level of SRO Motorsports America race weekends. Races take place on permanent racing circuits throughout the United States, including road courses and ovals such as Sonoma Raceway, Road America, Watkins Glen, Virginia International Raceway, and Indianapolis Motor Speedway. A typical race weekend includes practice sessions, qualifying, and two sprint races. Vehicles compete in three categories – Pro, Pro-Am, and Am – based on international driver classifications, allowing professionals and amateurs to compete fairly together. The racing format features mandatory driver changes, full-service pit stops, and strategic decisions that create compelling entertainment for spectators.
