Madring - Feature
The Formula 2 round is held as support to the 2026 Spanish Grand Prix. It represents the eleventh of 14 rounds in the 2026 FIA Formula 2 Championship. The FIA Formula 2 Championship arrives at Madring in Madrid for the first time in 2026, bringing world championship motorsport back to the Spanish capital for the first time since 1981. The Madring is a newly opened hybrid circuit hosting the Formula One Spanish Grand Prix starting in 2026, replacing the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya which had hosted the race since 1991.

The Madring is a semi-permanent motorsport racing circuit in Madrid at the IFEMA fairgrounds, spanning 5.474 kilometres with 22 turns. The track combines permanent sections with temporary elements and is located northeast of the city centre, near the airport. The Madring is characterized by fast and technically demanding sections, with several clear overtaking zones, including the distinctive La Monumental turn with 24 percent banking. Since 2026, the racing circuit has hosted the Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix and also features races in Formula 2 and Formula 3.
