Portimão
The International GT Open is a grand tourer-style racing series founded in 2006, now entering its twenty-first season in 2026. Portimão serves as the traditional opener for the championship and marks the season's starting point. With a competitive grid across all three classes, Portimão should offer an early indication of the pecking order for the 2026 season. The circuit features an undulating layout with tight, slow-speed and fast corners, multiple elevation changes throughout the lap, and a 24-meter difference between lowest and highest points on track. Its dramatic elevation changes and fast-flowing layout with blind crests make it one of the most challenging and visually striking tracks in modern motorsport.
