The International GT Open returns to the Ardennes for its annual rendezvous with Spa-Francorchamps. The Spa round will be contested as a GT Open 500 in endurance format, with a single 2h40 race on Sunday. It marks the first of two 500km race meetings on the 2026 calendar, with 32 GT3 cars from eight manufacturers. The legendary Belgian circuit presents a formidable challenge through its combination of rapid sections, technical corners and significant elevation changes. The first car race at the circuit took place in 1922, and the first edition of the now famous 24 Hours of Francorchamps was held in 1924. The GT Open is one of Europe's premier GT series.

The Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps is a 7.004 kilometre permanent racing circuit in the Belgian Ardennes near Stavelot. The track was originally laid out in 1921 as a triangular course over public roads between the towns of Francorchamps, Malmedy and Stavelot, later shortened to its current length in 1979. The circuit is known for its dramatic elevation changes, fast-flowing corners, and unpredictable weather conditions as well as iconic corners such as Eau Rouge and Raidillon. Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps regularly hosts Formula 1 races and endurance events like the legendary 24 Hours of Spa.
