Sonoma
Sonoma Raceway serves as the traditional season opener for both GT America and GT4 America. The California road course with its twelve turns has long been an important proving ground for manufacturers and racing teams. The FIA Grade 2 circuit was opened in 1968 and boasts a long history as a venue for international motorsport series. The second race of the opening weekend at Sonoma provides top teams the opportunity to refine their setup after the first race and score early season championship points. The technically demanding circuit in the Sonoma Mountains makes setup and precision the decisive factors.
