[TEST] Buriram
MotoGP's final pre-season test of 2026 takes place at Chang International Circuit in Buriram, Thailand, directly preceding the season-opening race on 1 March. Designed by German architect Hermann Tilke, the Buriram International Circuit opened in 2014 with MotoGP making its debut in 2018. Since the motorcycle world championship's premiere in Thailand in 2018, the event has been held six times due to the COVID-19 pandemic, yet each time more than 200,000 fans attended the circuit. If the MotoGP races during Thailand's rainy season, sudden thunderstorms and heavy rainfall can completely turn the racing upside down; in recent years with early spring dates, summer temperatures present extreme physical demands on riders. The Grand Prix of Thailand celebrates its seventh edition at Buriram International Circuit this year and marks the second time it serves as the season opener for the MotoGP world championship.
