The second Fuji race in October represents one of four double-header weekends during the 2026 season. The season comprises a total of twelve races across seven weekends, held exclusively in Japan. Fuji Speedway is known for one of the longest straights on FIA Grade 1 circuits. The circuit is located in the eastern foothills of Mount Fuji in Oyama, Shizuoka Prefecture. The facility opened in 1966 and hosted Japan's first Formula One Grand Prix in 1976. In 2003 the circuit was closed for major reprofiling, with designer Hermann Tilke creating a new layout.
