The championship is primarily held on Japanese road racing circuits, including world-class venues such as Suzuka and Fuji Speedway as well as traditional circuits like Okayama and Autopolis. Cars feature Dallara single-seater chassis, turbocharged four-cylinder direct-injection engines supplied by Honda and Toyota, and Yokohama tyres. Typical race weekends with double-headers consist of free practice sessions on Friday and Saturday, followed by two qualifying sessions and two races. The series attracts internationally recognized drivers and serves as an important stepping stone between domestic racing championships and global motorsport series.
