Daytona - Wawa 250
The Wawa 250 at Daytona International Speedway ranks among the NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series' premier events. This 250-mile race plays a decisive role in determining playoff qualification and championship positioning for drivers. The legendary superspeedway, featuring its iconic 2.5-mile oval configuration, has been the heart of NASCAR since its opening in 1959 and serves as home to the sport's most prestigious race, the Daytona 500. Daytona's oval is known for intense competition, tightly bunched fields, and dramatic passing maneuvers - overtime finishes have become commonplace, with more than half of races ending in extended competition since 2005. The Wawa 250 has been a regular summer fixture on the Xfinity calendar for many years and remains one of the series' most significant events.
