Moto3 has been the entry-level class of the motorcycle World Championship since 2012, replacing the previous 125cc series. Riders must be at least 18 years old but no older than 28. The racing machines use 250cc single-cylinder four-stroke engines with a maximum output of around 60 horsepower and reach speeds up to approximately 245 km/h. Moto3 races on international Grand Prix circuits across Europe and worldwide. A typical race weekend spans Friday to Sunday and includes free practice sessions, qualifying, and the main race. The series is distinguished by intense racing action with large rider grids and thrilling competition for positions.
