Austrian Grand Prix
The Austrian Grand Prix is the eighth round of the 2026 Formula One World Championship and the 39th running of the Austrian Grand Prix as a round of the Formula One World Championship. The Red Bull Ring is set in an idyllic natural bowl in the Styrian mountains. The Red Bull Ring hosted Formula One for the twenty-second time in the circuit's history, having previously held two editions of the Styrian Grand Prix and 19 editions of the Austrian Grand Prix. The Red Bull Ring may be small but packs much into a short lap, with the first half rewarding power through three straights separated by uphill right-handers, then becoming a technical section with quick corners downhill, including the exhilarating Rindt right-hander. Originally built as the Österreichring, it hosted the Austrian Grand Prix for 18 consecutive years from 1970 to 1987, was later shortened and rebuilt as the A1-Ring, and hosted the Grand Prix again from 1997 to 2003.
