Originally built in 1969 as the Österreichring, the Red Bull Ring was rebuilt and reopened in 2011. The circuit is renowned for demanding riders with accelerating speeds and steep hills, offering spectacular racing in the Styrian mountains. The Austrian Grand Prix was revived in 2016 after more than 20 years off the calendar and now takes place at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg.
