British Grand Prix
Silverstone boasts 75 years of history and ranks among the fastest tracks on the MotoGP calendar. The circuit's first motorcycle Grand Prix took place in 1977. The layout measures 5.9 kilometres with 17 corners, combining some of the most difficult corners in motorsport with exceptionally challenging fast stretches. The venue sits on the former site of a Royal Air Force bomber station, RAF Silverstone, operational between 1943 and 1946, a heritage reflected in track features such as the Wellington straight, named after the bomber base during World War II.

About this race
British Grand Prix is a round of the MotoGP 2026 season, held on Friday, 7 August 2026. It was held at Silverstone Circuit.
The circuit is located in Silverstone, United Kingdom and measures 5.891 kilometres, has 18 corners and opened in 1948.
The Silverstone Circuit is a permanent racing track located in Silverstone, Great Britain, built on the site of a former Royal Air Force airfield that was first used for motorsport in 1948. The circuit is characterized by a relatively flat surface and high-speed corners such as Maggotts-Becketts-Chapel, where drivers experience lateral forces exceeding five G. Silverstone hosted the first official Formula 1 World Championship race in 1950 and remains one of the most renowned venues in motorsport. The changeable British weather with frequent rainfall and fog led to the relocation of the British Grand Prix from April to July starting in 2000.
Raul Fernandez (SuperFile Trackhouse MotoGP Team) took the win ahead of Jorge Martin. The full result is listed further up this page.
The race was shown free to air on ServusTV, SRF zwei and DF1. Every broadcaster with country and access is listed in the broadcast section.
